Grinding Machines
The two Landis 3L CNC cam grinding machines shown on
this page are the number 1 and number 2 reasons why
Andrews Products is able to supply the performance after
market with the best camshafts available from any source,
period.
The machine shown at left, operates under full Windows
CNC computer control and was installed new in April of
1996. It is state of the art in cam grinding.
Combined with Andrews Products cam design and
materials technology, camshafts produced on either this
3L cam grinder or the one in the lower picture will
out-perform and outlast anything else you can buy.
When you buy an Andrews camshaft for your H/D bike, it
will be ground in our facility on one of these Landis 3L
cam grinding machines.
During the summer of 1991, Andrews Products acquired
our first Landis 3L CNC camshaft grinding machine from
The Western Atlas (Landis) Division of Litton Industrial
Automation Systems of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. Along
with the 3L shown above, it is an example of the finest
cam grinding technology available from any source.
Andrews Products continues to be the only small company
in the U.S. operating 3L CNC (computer controlled) cam
grinders.
The accuracy, flexibility, power, speed, productivity,
ease of use and durability of these machine can hardly be
overstated. What it continues to mean to our operation is
the ability to quickly supply customers with the highest
possible quality camshafts and cam grinding service.
