D4CAM screen output shows lift, velocity, acceleration and jerk for
both open and close events with ramps. This is a 4 exponent polynomial
curve fit program. All input values can be changed with a mouse pointer
and rerun in real time. All input data can be saved to a file for future
reference.
D4CAM generates translating flat or roller cam data. Recalculation and
redraw on a DOS PC (386 or 486) is less than 3 seconds.
D5CAM

D5CAM is a similar program except that the curve fit is done with 5
exponents instead of 4 resulting in much better control of 4th derivative
end conditions.
Both programs are very easy to learn and can be used effectively with
one or two hours practice.
